DRAW THE LINE. Prevent underage drinking

Underage Drinking Tipline - 1-800-851-1932

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Department and the Community Coalition for Healthy Youth announce the launch of the Underage Drinking Tipline.

Concerned adults, teachers, students, and community members now have a place to call 24 hours a day to report underage drinking parties that are underway or planned for the near future.

The tipline is anonymous, confidential, and free.  By calling 1-800-851-1932 and providing basic information (location of party, estimated number of young people attending, if adults are present), you can make a difference, help avert a tragedy, and perhaps save a life.

What happens when you make a call?  The call center will notify the Sheriff's Department.  If the party location is in the jurisdiction of another police agency (such as the Ithaca Police, Village of Dryden Police, etc.) the information will be promptly routed to the appropriate agency who will respond.

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Department and Community Coalition for Healthy Youth are grateful for support from the Central New York Prevention Resource Center in funding our Tipline.

Did you know?  29% of Tompkins County high school students currently use alcohol.
